Our labolatory's research targets are "the establishment of metrological technique with supreme precision" and "opening up the unexplored science with our optical presice measurement". Most interesting targets are "optical microscopy" and "ultrafast phenomena of non-reiteration". Ultimately, we will conbine these in near future. In order to make this dream come true, we research the fundamental science and engineering. And we also develope our original instruments to confirm the principles of measurements and for the experimental demonstrations.

From the view point of the education in university, our important mission is producing engineers expected from industrial world. One of our laboratory's goals is producing engineers who possesses the logical mind and power of action. Technical aspect, in our laboratory, students learn the skills of opticcal design and experiments, mechanical design and machining, programming and data analysis, electronics and motion control, and simulation.
